So you want to lose your job the non-graceful way. It's not as easy as it sounds. After all, everyone can provoke their boss and get into a heated, irrevocably nasty argument with him or her. But to really lose a job the non-graceful way requires finesse. Of course, when we say non-graceful way, we don't mean anything that resorts to violence or wrongdoing of any kind. We've chosen three days as a comfortable time-frame.

Whatever your reasons are, resigning from your job can either turn you into a hero for your co-workers (oh, how i envy him, he's gotten to his senses and is leaving this wretched system) or a villain (remember that guy who smells of milk, well, he's left already.) Sometimes we have to know the difference between reasonably sticking it out with a company and foolishly putting up with it. There's a name in psychological studies for this sort of hesitation when it comes to letting go: Learned Self-helplessness. Learned self-helplessness happens when we unconsciously condition ourselves to suffer a problem, locking ourselves into our conflicting situation and believing there's nothing better out there for us anymore.
