  • How Systems Furniture Contributes to LEED Certification
The U.S. Green Building Council is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community of leaders working to make green buildings available to everyone within a generation. The Council's LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) green building certification system is a third party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
  • Natural Oils in Moisturizers for Skin
We all use and need to moisturize our skin on a regular basis. But when coming to our facial skin should we use the same moisturizer that we use on our bodies? I hope not. Moisturizers are available in different formulas for different skin types. But so many regular moisturizers contain ingredients that can clog your pores and will not keep your skin properly hydrated.
  • Washington: Anyone Home?
Dear Members of Congress, the Bush Administration and President-Elect Obama,
We, as a people, witnessed another circus this week in Washington as the 3 heads of the Auto Industry and the head of the UAW testified and answered questions before respective committees in the House and Senate.
  • Systems Furniture and the Carbon Footprint
Responsible organizations of every type are proactively taking steps to reduce CO2 emissions that can be traced to their operations, says Mark Bassil, vice president of modular office furniture systems manufacturer MAiSPACE, based in Mt. Olive NJ. "One of the more lasting actions that an organization can take is selecting workplace furniture systems suppliers that employ green manufacturing." He notes that the term manufacturing in this case is all encompassing and is not confined to building sy
  • Discount Retailer: Stimulating Growth in A Tanking Economy
As of this morning in his Weekly Address, President-elect, Barak Obama called for bold steps in the rebuilding process to restore our economy and the American workforce at large. President-elect Obama states that the United States faces "an economic crisis of historic proportions," and more must be done to put people back to work. "I have already directed my economic team to come up with an economic recovery plan that will mean 2.5-million more jobs by January, 2011, a plan big enough to meet th
  • Prospect: Impossible
I received a phone call from a new prospect recently. The first mistake I made was answering the phone. Seriously, the caller was actually ideal for the Paid Search Management Services and Organic Search Engine Optimization Services we provide.

The initial, no-obligation consult, revealed a great deal, all of which, on its face presented a great opportunity for both companies. The facts were pretty clear:
  • How I Do That Creative Thing
I have been trying to figure out why recently I’ve been able hit a home run with new projects, when in the past it was difficult to find the “creative” juice I need. I think I’ve figured out what motivates me into digging down into myself and connecting with the universe (life-stream, God, or whatever you believe in that gives you power and motivation), and channeling the energy that fills that blank canvas I am looking at.
  • Farming the Front Yard
Banishing the mower promised to reduce our carbon footprint and put fresh food on the table. But what would the neighbors think? It was a normal vegetable garden in every respect but one—it was in front of the house. A front-yard garden is, by definition, in your face. (In your neighbors' faces, in particular.) Sunflowers towering, tomato plants climbing, cabbages blooming, beans and basil proliferating like weeds. All growing naked for anyone to see—and, as my sister worried, for dogs to tear
  • Long-Tailed Keywords
First, what is a "Long-tailed keyword"? It is a keyword phrase that has 3 or more words in it. I prefer to rank higher for longtailed keyword phrases versus generic keyword phrases for one reason: profitability. Also, the competition is most likely not paying attention to them.
  • Not getting Targeted Traffic?
When it comes down to it, I would rather have targeted traffic versus just traffic. Most logical people will. But what most web owners actually target is basic traffic. They do campaigns to increase traffic to their site, which in return wastes their time and money.
  • What’s The Point Of Having A Website?
People constantly approach me with this question. I guess they want me to sell them on why they should consider a website. There are several reasons why it is more important now than ever to have a website if you are a business. Here are some of the reasons I can think of.
  • Web Application for Weight Data Collection
Whenever industrial scales are used to weigh items, the weight obtained is used for some purpose. One common situation is the use of a platform scale to weigh packages that are going to be shipped out. Another is the use of a drum scale to determine how much liquid remains to be dispensed from a tank that sits on the platform. Yet another is the use of a parts counting scale to count the number of parts in a container. And yet another is the use of a bench scale to batch ingredients that will be mixed together into a final product.
  • Industrial Scale Indicators Provide Useful Information
An old philosophical riddle asks “If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” If your concerns revolve around weighing scales, the riddle could be changed to “If a scale weighs items very precisely, but it’s hard to use the scale or read the display, does it really work accurately?”
  • SEO – A milestone … Not the Goal Line
SEO (Search Engine Optimization), professionally executed, accomplishes an important piece of a very valuable puzzle towards a truly successful and profitable website marketing strategy. Using strong research for the best keywords, insightful competitive research, onsite and offsite optimization using great content and careful management using sophisticated website statistics are key elements towards high organic rankings for targeted keywords relevant to your business. Being easily found for these highly popular and competitive keywords generates huge amounts of traffic to the website. Although all of this is a great accomplishment, page 1 Google rankings by itself doesn’t put a thin dime into your bank account. So we have reached an important milestone; but now what? How do we generate business from all of this traffic?
  • Marketing and Apple: Are they boring?
Marketing is tricky, especially when there’s much anticipation and different distribution channels. This was exactly the case when the specifics of the iPod were leaked before the actual unveiling, making the information at the event predictable and disappointing. However, this does not seem to make anybody talk less about Apple. They’re everywhere online; blogs, forums, articles, news and media. Apple has created a buzz and it works to their advantage. But, how are they able to keep doing this?
  • Bulk Mailing requires Precision Weighing
Email has become a popular method of communication. It is used in both the private and business worlds to quickly share ideas and information. It is an excellent method of requesting details on products and services. Messages may be sent over great distances quickly, easily and cheaply. Email is also used for advertising purposes. In fact, massive and unwanted email advertising has even earned its own special label of spam.
  • Commercial Loan Applications for Small Businesses Hit a Low
Consumer confidence is vital for our economy and when consumers cut back, that means that sales slow to a trickle. When sales slow, that means companies cut back, have fewer hires and simply do not need the inventory, materials or money to invest in new equipment. When this happens small businesses feel the pain as much or more than large corporations.
  • Email Marketing – The Right Way
Optimum7 Email Marketing is synonymous with Email Newsletters. We never advise our clients to email hard-hitting advertising, glitzy offers with special effects, etc. The reasons will be self-evident if you care to read on.
