Some items in my submitted article are wrong. What do I do?

Do you accept all articles submitted to ArticleGarden.com?

No we do not.
Though we don't require articles to be eloquently written, we do require that they serve a purpose other than advertising or promoting a particular product or service, and will benefit the reader. They must do something to educate the reader on how and/or why to endeavor to live a sustainable lifestyle.

What kind of articles does ArticleGarden.com accept?

ArticleGarden.com accepts a broad range of articles on many different subject areas. We DO NOT accept advertisements or articles written more for the benefit of web crawlers and link-building than to be read by people.

One good way to judge if an article is actually an advertisement is to ask if the article has a primary focus on advertising or promoting a specific business, web site, person, or other entity. If you want to put your business or product name in the title of an article, or use it as your pen name, then what you have is most likely and advertisement and not an article.

We do not allow articles that are not appropriate for all age groups, promote hatred, or contain profanity.

Why does my article change its formatting after I paste it into the editor?

There could be various problems depending on the editor that is used to create the original article. If you are using a word processor such as Microsoft Word or Open Office.

The easiest thing to do is paste the article into Notepad (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad in Windows XP) and copy from Notepad and paste into the ArticleGarden.com editor. This removes all special formatting except for line breaks.

How large can my article be?

The article must be 600 words minimum and 3000 words maximum. The ideal article size to us is between 600 to 1000 words. For more information, see the Article Submission Guidelines

Should I submit one long article or break it up into two?

Break it up into two separate articles. Articles are much more easily read in shorted doses than larger ones.

Can I write an article that contains a link to my web business?

Your article must serve a useful purpose other than promoting your own web business or no one will want to read it, and it will likely be removed from our site. Your articles must contain useful information that is not company-specific, and must not focus only on your business(es). The most appropriate way to promote your business in an article is in an authors bio at the end of your article.

Why are my article stats so low?

The primary factors that negatively affect the formatting rating are:

Misspellings.
Bad grammar.
Dead image or hyperlinks
Overuse of special formatting (UPPER CASE, bold, color, italics, f ont ch a ng es , etc.)

The primary factors that negatively effect your stats are:

Contains more self-promotion than information.
Doesn't provide the information referred to in the title.
Doesn't stand on it's own, requires the reader to go somewhere else to get the information promised in the title.

What must I do to improve my article stats?

The primary factors looked at in a good article are:

Contains valuable information.
Keeps your interest throughout the article.
Being easy on the eyes.
Proper paragraph grouping.
Good use of formatting.

Where will my article be displayed after it is accepted?

After an article is accepted, it will be displayed in our search results. It will also be displayed in it's category page. The main directory page always lists the 50 most recent articles. Another reason to post often!

How often are articles reviewed?

Articles are edited once a day, 5 days a week. The typical wait for a new article to be reviewed is 6 hours, but can take as long as a week, depending on the submission rates.

Can I upload my article instead of typing it in?

We recommend that you copy your article from a word processor such as Microsoft Word or Open Office so that you can check for grammatical and spelling mistakes, and then paste it into our online editor. Using this method, articles can be rapidly added to our database.

If you have trouble pasting an article into our online editor, please let us know.

Is there a limit to the number of articles I can submit at once?

There is no limit to the number of articles you can submit at once, though we ask that you please take the time to format each one properly. Your articles may not all be approved at once.

How do I add Keywords to my article?

When you are logged in to your account in the 'Submit Article' area. At the bottom of your article submission page, you may add article specific keywords.

Does ArticleGarden.com allow automated submission of articles?

While we accept articles from automated article submission services or software, and from authors directly, you must use a service that places the article in an appropriate category. Each article must be individually submitted by the author, or article owner, or the submitter must have the permission of the legal copyright holder for the article submitted. Submissions made through submission services are assumed to be the property of the legal copyright owner.

Can I place my article in several different categories in the directory?

No, articles can only be submitted to one category.

Can I edit my article to show a different title or description?

Our goal is to provide accurate information, one reason we create an account for you. When you sign into your account, you may edit your article. It will go back into the queue to be reviewed before becoming live on the site again.

How can I have my article removed from ArticleGarden.com?

Simply sign into your account and delete the article in the 'View Articles' area.

Profile information that was submitted was wrong. What do I do?

Again, the reason we have created your account. You may edit your articles and your profile information, check your article stats, change your password, and submit articles all from within your account. The only thing that you cannot change is your email address, due to constraints of the script we use, if you would like to have your email address changed, simply contact us and we will be more than happy to change it for you.
